Norfolk Choir Concert - October 31, 2025
NORFOLK STATE UNIVERSITY CHOIR PERFORMS IN ORANGE
On October 31, 2025, the Orange Education Foundation hosted the Norfolk State University Choir in the Orange Middle School auditorium. The choir of over thirty students sang a variety of selections for Orange Middle School students and selected music students from the High School.
The performance was well received by those in attendance which also included Superintendent Fitzhugh, members of the Foundation and other district administrators.
At the end of the concert, Orange students were given time to ask the Norfolk State University college students questions and were also given information and applications to the University. The conductor was so impressed with the discipline of Orange students that he said they were the best audience the choir has performed in front of since they’ve been on tour.
At the end of the program, the Orange Education Foundation provided a delicious lunch in the Board Conference Room. The Norfolk Choir students and staff were served a hot meal of BBQ and honey baked chicken, Mac and cheese, garlic string beans, coleslaw, mashed potatoes, strawberry short cake, assorted cookies and beverages. The students and their directors commented on how good the food was. They sang a beautiful “thank you” to the Foundation and Food Service staff and stated that can’t wait to return next year.
