Who We Are...

Orange Education Foundation (OEF) is an independent public charity dedicated to encouraging community-wide participation and philanthropy in order to enhance and expand enrichment opportunities for all students in the Orange Public School District and ensure long-range financial flexibility for schools within the District.

The mission of the foundation is to ensure the highest level of educational innovation supporting students, faculty and staff with community involvement in a partnership of lifetime learning.

Our Team...

The OEF is governed by a volunteer board of trustees made up of education, business, and community leaders dedicated to the betterment of Orange Public Schools. The Board manages and invests all funds raised, in accordance with foundation guidelines and benefactor designation.

History of the Orange Education Foundation

Established in 2011, the OEF was created to support the staff and students of Orange, New Jersey and to support the mission of the Orange Board of Education. The OEF sponsors STEM Innovation Academy of the Oranges, Orange Early Childhood Center, John R. Lewis Early Childhood Center and Scholar's Academy.

Fundraising Plans for the Orange Education Foundation

Fundraising is ongoing. The OEF annually holds a Car Raffle (see Events tab). In the fall, the OEF runs an Oldies But Goodies event or a Double Good Popcorn sale. Each May, the OEF holds its annual People of Excellence Jazz Brunch. All proceeds from these events support scholarships, staff grants, and/or the world renowned bridge program.

Goals of the Orange Education Foundation during 2025-2026

• Raise funds to support student scholarships, teacher grants, and the bridge program.
• To award educators and community leaders at the Jazz Brunch for their excellence, leadership, and/or service to the students of Orange Public Schools.
• Expand the Orange Bridge Club to additional schools.
• Travel to the Youth National Bridge Championship in July each summer.
• Resurface and rehabilitate the tennis courts at STEM.
• Obtain grants that will benefit Orange Public School students.
